Matriculation

Okay so a few days ago, a lot of the Malaysian 94's kids has been buzzing non-stop about matriculation. Did they get in or not , which matrics college did they get, and all sorts of other questions. Since I am actually going through the actual process, let me tell you how it is.

I applied for it a few months ago (around the mock SPM season) just because our counseling teacher said it would be good and it would help us a lot in the future. So pretty much everyone in our school applied for it. So anyway, I was in the Business class (kelas Perdagangan), so everyone just pretty much expects me to apply for Accounting. Well let me tell you what a total fool I was. A really BIG one. At the time, I was failing my accounting and business classes but managed to scrape a respectable credit in science and physics without much studying. So without much thinking, I applied for the Science course. After I finished my SPM, I was already regretting applying for the Science course when I would be better off in accounting (I only felt like that because I got an A in accounting and business). So I told my friend about it, and he said that once I get into matrics, I can totally change my course.

So I did what he told me to do and waited for the announcement of our result. Short story , shorter. I got in, but its really FAR. Like really really FAR. It's in Kedah. So I was like, there is no freaking way I'm going off to Kedah.

I never really wanted to go to matrics in the first place anyway, because I'm still waiting for my application for foundation studies. I'm not saying matrics is bad, its not. It's just that, since I am going to continue my study in law, taking a year up in matrics to study Science or Accounting is just really not my thing and it's not a road I'm suppose to follow.

So it's really up to you guys. I hope you guys make the right decision. And to those who did not get the matrics thing, its okay. There are so many other opportunities out there for you guys. Just keep looking and trying.

So moral of the story : Don't make rash decisions like I did.

Enough said,
